We each have our own place within
The family we hold dear,
Through changing years and changing lives,
That bond is always here.

And when we lose somebody loved,
Their place does not depart;
They live within the stories told
And every loving heart.

In photographs and memories,
In things they used to say,
In laughter that reminds us
Of a long-remembered day.

Our family chain may change with time,
But love will hold it strong;
For those we love remain a part
Of where we all belong.
